A children’s rhyme I wrote sitting outside on a  beautiful spring day watching the little kids play on the playground.

        Butterfly Wings

Let’s make a place of magic
Where anything can be
Where the land is full of candy
As far as we can see.
And way up high
Behind the clouds
Little dragons dance
Laughing as they roll around
In silly underpants.
We’ll ride the skies
On a butterfly’s wings
And tie our shoes
With licorice strings.
Then close our eyes
When the day is done
And dream the dreams
Of a little one.
